A leading Banking group are looking for a Credit Underwriter to complement their team… and what a bank to join!

 

They are the UK’s leading Merchant bank who may be large group, however they make sure their staff are at the very heart of what they do, and they are dedicated to fostering a flexible, fun and mature environment where access to information, development and opportunity is offered to everyone. They have an awesome benefits package and looking to pay up to £38k for this person + a bonus that is between 10% and 27.5%!! (that's a range of £3,800 to £10,450 to make life easier for you) – Obviously this is all dependant on performance.

 

Their offices are in London (Wimbledon) and looking for someone to be in the office ideally 2/3 days a week.

 

Anyway, the role!

 

Reporting directly to the Credit Manager, the role requires the preparation and approval of papers for transactions up to £150k, with a view to winning good-quality, high-value business at an acceptable return whilst providing excellent customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.

 

A key requirement is the ability to identify and propose appropriate solutions to minimise and mitigate risks. It includes liaising with brokers, clients and other internal departments to ensure a smooth process and good knowledge levels across the business. The role has some delegated power to sign off and recommend deals reporting as necessary to the Managers/Head of Underwriting.

 

So, if you have experience in:

• Underwriting/ Credit Analysis experience

• Financial Services experience

• Commercial Banking & Knowledge of Insurance/Broker accounts would be a huge plus!
